What I Do
I am an effectual collaborator with an outcomes-oriented focus. I am currently working to expand my consultation and contracts with both families and ECE providers throughout northern Nevada.

Who I Am
A native Nevadan, I have served as a tireless advocate for the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE) for close to 3 decades. I began my career as a preschool teacher and have since served in several other roles, including infant-toddler teacher, developmental specialist, and center director.
I hold bachelor’s degrees in both ECE and Human Development and Family Studies and maintain a strong commitment to local, regional, and statewide ECE communities.
I have volunteered my time as an elected board member and president of the Reno Association for the Education of Young Children and am now president-elect of the Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children. I have also presented at NAEYC’s national conference that is held annually.
I am a Nevada Registry Certified Trainer for the ECE community and serve on the Nevada Registry’s Training Advisory System workgroup. I also serve as Northern Nevada’s Adult Learning Acadamy Instructor for the Nevada Registry, helping other ECE professionals learn how to train adults in our field.
Throughout my career, I have advocated for high quality ECE experiences for all of Nevada’s young children and have emerged as a team-oriented and effective leader of ECE teachers. I maintain a firm commitment to families, having been a developmental specialist for the state and having served as the family and community partnership coordinator for Early Head Start. I am a passionate and relentless child advocate for families of children with special needs.
